Call for Participation in Exercise Addiction Research
Students at 新月直播 are invited to participate in a research project investigating exercise addiction. This study has been approved by the University of the Fraser Valley Ethics Board and given institutional permission from 新月直播.
The study is aimed at students who are physically active at least three times per week for a minimum of 20-30 minutes each session in a non-interruptive manner for at least the past six months, and participants will be asked to take part in a Zoom-based focus group discussion session on a one-time basis for approximately 60 minutes. We are recruiting people with a range of exercise patterns to better understand the perspectives of all types of exercisers.
Information derived from the focus groups will be confidential; no identifying information is requested. Once data have been entered into the computer all identifying characteristics will be removed and the original data shredded in December 2025. The ID codes will be known only to the research supervisor, Dr. Emilio Landolfi, and will be stored in password-protected electronic files.
Participation in the project is voluntary. Participants may withdraw from the study at any time, and no evaluative judgments will be made. If you have any questions about the project, please email Dr. Emilio Landolfi at emilio.landolfi@ufv.ca. You may also contact the Ethics Officer at Research.Ethics@ufv.ca if you have any concerns about the research.
