The following is a list of awards offered by private companies and organizations that may be of interest to current University of Winnipeg students. We update this webpage monthly, so students can search for scholarship opportunities year-round.

Applications open year-round-awards of up to $40,000 for veterans with a minimum of six years of service and up to $80,000 for veterans with at least 12 years of service.

Application Deadline August, November, and February annually (on site year round)-Indspire is the largest supporter of Indigenous education outside the federal government. To date Indspire has awarded more than $54 million in scholarships and bursaries to 16,000 First Nation, Inuit and Métis recipients nationwide. Indspire disburses funds to Indigenous youth across Canada, covering all disciplines in funding categories in post-secondary education.

Application due in May and July-A $3000 bursary for a First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit student pursuing graduate studies with demonstrated financial need.

Application Due February-$10,000 for students who are interested in pursuing a career in banking or finance and identify as visible minority, female, Aboriginal or Indigenous background, LGBT+, Veterans, and/or persons with disabilities. Recipients are also offered paid internships and mentorship.

Application Due February-$1500 award for Marketing Students.

Application due February-$1,000 for students who volunteer or are otherwise connected with the United Way.

Application due March-Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre offers scholarships for theatre students.

Application due May-$3,000 scholarships for Manitoban Indigenous Students.

Application due in May-$5,000-$10,000 bursaries for students who were severely injured or who have had a parent (or legal guardian) or sibling killed or severely injured as a result of an impaired driving crash.

Application due March-$3,000 scholarship for a Manitoban Female Student.

Application due in May-$1,000 scholarship for students in the fields of digital media, technology, and creative design.

Application due in May-$2,000 for a graduate student whose research involves minority groups or human rights protections.
